The Swedish government has decided to reinvestigate the M/S Estonia that sunk in 1994 with over 800 passengers tragically lost. Conspiracy theories have flourished since the ships sunk and last year new hole was located by a documentary team.
Ocean Discovery´s groundbreaking 3D scanning of environmentally hazardous wrecks have raised interest both from the media and government agencies. Combining thousands of images a composite image and 3D model of shipwrecks can be created with a level of detail that was not possible a few years ago. We hope the new 3D survey methods can contribute to the new investigation.
